When starting Studio you will sometimes see the following error.

ERROR: The installed versions of Studio and Robot do not match. Please restart your machine and try again.

Issue Overview

When starting Studio you will sometimes see the following error.

           The installed versions of Studio and Robot do not match. Please restart your machine and try again.
 

Root Cause

This error occurs when you have both the community and enterprise version of the Robot installed.

To resolve this problem, uninstall both versions and then reinstall the enterprise version. You cannot install both community and enterprise versions at the same time.

 

Resolution

1.      Open “Add or Remove Programs” by search in the Windows Search bar.

2.      In the “Search this list” field, type in UiPath
 

 

 

3.      Remove both version of Studio, by clicking each icon and selecting “Uninstall”
 

 

 

4.      After both versions have been installed, download the correct version here .

5.      If needed, create a cloud account.

6.      After logging in, go to the “Resource Center” tab on the left side of the browser window.

7.      Select Download Enterprise
