The Ctrl + E shortcut breaks down after using it for an improper activity

Hello,

I think that the Ctrl + E shortcut breaks down after using it for an improper activity.
I’ve already submitted the issue using Studio built-in feedback feature but would like to receive a response after describing it, that’s why I am posting it also here.

Studio project:

CtrlPlusEBreaksDownAfterUsingForImproperActivity.zip (2.4 KB)

Steps to recreate (they are also in an annotation within the project):

  1. Disable this activity using Ctrl + D.
  2. Highlight The Activity To Disable Using Ctrl + D.
  3. Press Ctrl + E (expected result: the shortcut does not work).
  4. Highlight the Comment Out activity.
  5. Press Ctrl + E (actual result: the shortcut does not work; expected result: the shortcut works; workaround: the Enable Activity context menu option works).

Environment:

Studio 2022.4.1 - 5/2/2022
Enterprise License
Per-user Installation

License Provider: Orchestrator
Activation ID:

Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
6.0.2

Hi @bpiwoda,

I see this is related to a bug reported in 2021. I thought this was fixed, but looks like it has not.

Workaround
It may or may not help you now, but we hope a fix is released soon. Until then there is a unexplainable workaround as I noted in the thread above :

The weirdest thing is that when you add annotation for the whole file Shift+F2 and write an annotation on the outermost sequence, the Hotkeys/Shorcuts functionality returns!

Thank you for submitting the bug report (twice! :D)

It is already in our issue tracker for our team to investigate.
