TFS31002: Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server

Hello. I’m not familiar with source control systems and therefore I would like to ask some questions about it.

  1. As I understand we’ve got two option: TFS and SVN. What is the main difference between them?
  2. I’m clicking to connect to the TFS server, adding http://localhost:8080/tfs. It returns an error: TFS31002: Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server. How do I resolve the error?
  3. What server can I use? What’s the principle in choosing a server?

Please type in just the root of the url, like so:
http://localhost:8080/

You will be able to choose the exact folder later on :slight_smile:
