Test Manager option on Personal workspace missing

hello,

we have orchestrator onprem installation and test manager,
confirmed test manager is installed, but we cant see the “Testing” button on
personal workspace of users,

we are only able to see it on shared folders,
Tried to duplicate and customize Role “personal workspace administrator” with test* checked but i cannot see an option to change specific user’s role to their personal workspace folder for them to use.

shared:

My workspace: (no testing tab)

Roles: created new Personal workspace Admin with Test* checked

Thanks

  1. Check User Roles and Permissions:
Ensure that the users who are supposed to have access to the “Testing” functionality have the appropriate roles and permissions assigned. You mentioned trying to customize the “personal workspace administrator” role, but it’s important to ensure that these customizations are being applied correctly.

  2. Assigning Roles to Personal Workspace:
In UiPath Orchestrator, roles can be assigned at different levels, including the tenant and folder levels. To enable the “Testing” button for users in their personal workspace, you need to make sure that the necessary roles are assigned specifically to their personal workspace folder.

  3. Verify Installation of Test Manager:
Double-check that the Test Manager component is correctly installed and integrated with Orchestrator. If the installation is incomplete or not properly integrated, it could lead to issues with visibility of certain features.

  4. Check Feature Configuration:
The availability of the “Testing” button might be controlled by a configuration setting. Check the Orchestrator settings or Test Manager settings to ensure that the testing functionality is enabled.

  5. Log Files and Error Messages:
Look into the Orchestrator and Test Manager log files for any error messages or warnings related to the missing “Testing” button. This can provide insights into what might be causing the issue.

  6. Contact UiPath Support:
If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it might be a more complex issue related to your specific setup. In that case, consider reaching out to UiPath’s technical support for assistance. They can provide guidance and potentially help you resolve the problem.

  7. Update and Documentation:
Make sure you are using the latest version of UiPath Orchestrator and Test Manager, as updates might address known issues. Additionally, consult UiPath’s official documentation for any specific guidance on configuring roles, permissions, and features.

This is as expected…on Personal workspace no where you would see the testing tab visible I believe…It would be available only on folders other than personal workspace only

cheers

Thanks guys for prompt response,

Yes, what we did is to create a new folder and let the user do the testing there. Thanks
