Test Manager - Manual Execution - Where to find comments and attachments?

Hello everyone,

our manual testers want to use Test Manager for the manual test case execution. We created the manual test cases in Test Manager and test sets.

In the manual execution there is the opportunity to set a step as failed and to enter a comment and a screenshot.

Where can I find the attached comment and screenshot in test manager? Is it just availible if integration to a ALM tool e.g. JIRA is used?

once defined then execute the manual test case and set the result / additionals

First Exploration flow

  • Create a Test Case and define the manual steps
  • Assign it to TestSet (if needed create a TestSet in advance)
  • exectute the Test Set manually
  • Set the status / upload attachments

Got to exectutions tab

Refer the comment and attachment:

In UiPath Test Manager, you can find the attached comments and screenshots directly within the Test Manager interface. Here’s how you can access them:

  1. Navigate to the Executions Tab: After executing the manual test case, go to the Executions tab in Test Manager.
  2. Select the Test Case: Click on the specific test case result you are interested in.
  3. View Comments and Attachments: You should see the comments and any attached screenshots associated with each test step.

These attachments and comments are available within Test Manager itself and do not require integration with an ALM tool like JIRA. However, integrating with an ALM tool can provide additional benefits such as better traceability and reporting.

Thank you all for the input. In the execution tab the comments and attachments are a little bit hidden in the protocolls of each run. :wink:
