Hi, we have a multi-tenant setup in UiPath Automation Cloud. The newly added tenant, Sandbox, is visible in the Tenant drop-down even though the user is not assigned a role for that tenant.
Is there a way to make it so a user only sees Tenants they have roles assigned to them for?
Users will see all tenants they are added to in the tenant dropdown, even if no roles are assigned.
Visibility of the tenant ≠ access to its resources.
If the user has no roles, they won’t be able to access folders, automations, etc.
UI customization settings do not control tenant visibility
Currently, there is no option to hide a tenant unless the user is removed from that tenant entirely
Only way to prevent visibility: remove the user from the tenant.
In Automation Cloud, users will always see all tenants in the tenant dropdown, even if they have no roles in them.
Roles control access, not visibility.
UI customization settings don’t affect the tenant switcher.
No — in UiPath Automation Cloud, you cannot hide tenants from the tenant dropdown based on role assignment. Users may see tenants even if they have no roles in them. This is by design.
Thanks everyone. @arjun.shiroya, the user is not added to the tenant, but they still see it. I guess from the other replies that all users see all tenants, no matter what.
Yes, that’s correct. In Automation Cloud, users can see tenants in the dropdown even without being added or assigned roles. This is expected behavior and does not grant access. Currently, there’s no way to hide tenants from the list.
