Good afternoon. I am a newer user to UiPath. I am very fascinated with the Task Capture feature and believe this will work well for a majority of our Windows users in our organization. However it is my understanding that Task Capture will not work on macOS and there are no plans at least in the near term to release Task Capture for macOS. Has anyone setup UTM on their mac to run Task Capture? Or does anyone have recommendations on alternative tools that will capture workflows process documentation that can be turned into PDD’s or some close approximation at low or no cost?
We have looked at both Tango and Scribe. Also we have looked at another resource called Dubble.

Task Capture does not work natively on macOS and there’s no near-term plan for a mac version. A common workaround is running Windows in a VM on a Mac (UTM, Parallels, VMware) and installing Task Capture there, which generally works fine. If a VM isn’t an option, you can use mac screen recording tools like OBS or Loom and then create PDDs manually using diagrams or documentation tools.
