I created an app in Studio Web, which I want to share with business users. The users are set up with Automation User permission and have access to the folder where the project is published. However, if they access the app via the link from the app they do get the error: cloud-serverless process exception. cannot find a personal robot configured
I have shared the project with them and if they navigate to Studio Web and load the project, close it and after that they use the link for App, it does work for them.
Any idea, what is missing, if it does not work with the App link only?
Additional notes: A cloud serverless machine is set up and assigned to the folder.
The App is using GenAI activities.
As per my knowledge , assign a cloud serverless unattended robot to a shared folder, publish the process to that folder, and make sure the app runs the process from there. this avoids the “cannot find a personal robot” error for business users.
It does work for me, as I have developed it and also for a colleague who did literally navigated to the web studio and opened the project and after that he opened the app via the link and it worked. But that of course is not a solution if something like that would be rolled out to multiple users.
Yes, the app has been published to the shared folder. I can run the app, but anyone else which has access cannot run it, only if navigate to the project in web studio and open the project first.
Hello @mel.anderegg , did you finally find out how to share it to business ? We are facing same difficulties, trying to migrate from Apps to Studio Web Apps and now discover needs for serverless robots, we activated trial to verify if its works well but we do not know how to make it work for business,
they have message “Cannot find a personal robot configured”
They have a custom folder role in folder “app viewer”, we have the machine serverless referenced in folder, provisioned Robot Units in tenant, I don’t know what else to do
Hi @Matt67 we haven’t rolled it out to the business but we managed that the test users were able to test it. They needed to login to the UiPath Cloud Platform and after that it worked, and they could use the App. We assigned them the role to be an automation user on the tenant and folder and a role with tenant permission to view: App Version, Background tasks, Robots, Folders and Webhooks.
We have no idea, why that initial login to the Cloud Platform was necessary.
