Studio v2022 and MV2 Extension?

Is there a way to upgrade to Studio v2022 but continue using the Chrome MV2 extension ?

There are several features in the Studio v2022 I’d love to use but MV3 has some possible issues that I need time to research and deal with before upgrading the Chrome extension on my Studio desktop.

TIA

Hi, your slack invitation url is expired. Could you post a new one please?

In UiPath Studio 2022.4.4, the new UiPath Extension for Edge, based on Chrome’s Manifest V3 (MV3) standard, has been released. This patch also brings a few improvements for the Chrome MV3 extension that was initially released with the first 2022.4 LTS version.

According to the deprecation timelines published by Chrome and Edge, all existing MV2 extensions will stop working in January 2023. The new UiPath MV3 extensions are fully backward compatible, and we highly recommend that you upgrade and start using them with your automation processes before the deadline.

Reference: 2022.4.4

Based on the above information and your requirement, you can still use the UiPath Studio 2022.4.3 with an MV2 extension until January 2023.

Thank you for the replies but so far no answer to my question.

Upgrade to Studio v2022 and keep the MV2 extension as part of the Studio upgrade (even if the MV2 Google Extension ID changes) ?

Check this documentation for more details: Extension for Chrome

Thank you for reply. That web page unfortunately does not answer my question. I have since found out there is a new MV2 extension with a different Chrome extension ID than the existing MV2 extension which supposedly is supported by Studio v2022.4.3.

That is the extension I am interested in. I have a meeting with a UiPath TAM to walk me through how to update my Studio to v2022.4.3 and install the supported MV2 for that Studio version.
