Our team has been running version 2022.10.2 of studio for quite some time now, and are stuck at that version for various compatibility reasons etc. but on 10/18 two of our 3 prod bot machines, the primary dev machine and 2 test machines were updated to version 2025.0.176-cloud
We are working on the rollback, but I cannot find any reason as to why those updates happened, the update policy in orchestrator that I can find is set to none, on the machines themselves I do not see any options in assistance that control auto updates, so I am ultimately looking for 1. why did this happen (its impacting production runs and causing client issues so I have to track down the why) and 2. how do we stop it from happening again after rolling back?
The user/robot license was changed to Automation Express β the latest version automatically
The user/robot connected at least once to a different orchestrator with enforced auto-update policy (User/Group/Machine template) β get version based on policy
The user/robot connected at least once to an orchestrator with community license β the latest community version
A script that run in background that uninstalled the Studio and installed the other version
Use UiPath Diagnostic Tool logs for Update Service Issue β collect the logs β review the logs for auto-update if exists. If no details exists, then someone or something in your local machine performed that without telling you.
Your version is going out of extended support in 5 days, so you need to update regardless
Obviously you want to be in control of the upgrade, so its not ideal you got automatically updated, but Iβd strongly urge you to address your compatibility issues.
