I case it can help others, here is my experience:
choice “Quick (recommended for Community Users)” did not work for me.
Hi,
Can you tell me a bit more? I am happy to help and address any issue if it happens to be a bug.
Btw. Can you me what version of UiPath Installer you have? I see on your screen that the year next to the logo says 2023, which seems not to be the newest version.
We are testing installers deeply before we are ready to publish them. I can assure you that the installation process works fine. Of course, I tested it on my end additionally to make sure there was no failure. I believe this might be one of those situations where something unpredicted blocked the installer on your machine.
I will review the log you provided on PM with our engineers and I will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible.
@phil.t
I went through all the logs you sent me on private. Based on them it looks like somehow you have a robot installed previously using some old installer version and some files weren’t removed properly. This somehow impacted the new installation.
Do you still have the issue running Studio now or did the description that @ashokkarale share help you?
@Pablito
Thanks for your reply.
I am very surprised because this is a fairly new PC, and I am quite I never installed an older version. Plus, I uninstalled manually all the leftovers and reinstalled, with the exact same error.
As I said, after installing using choices “custom” + “Automation Developer” it worked fine.
@phil.t Glad that the problem is solved.
Of course I will push these logs further for investigation to make sure there was no issues that we could fix or analyse.
Is there anything else I could help you with?
