Studio Community: "No license exist for this installation" blocks all builds despite valid Pro license via group

Support ID: 3111-4659-7551-5105

Studio Desktop (Community, v26.0.201) fails to build/run ANY project - even a brand new Main.xaml containing only one WriteLine activity - with:

Project build failed. Error code: 1.
Error while executing step 'Compiling files', exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
   at UiPath.WorkflowCompiler.Executor.Steps.Compile.CompilationOptionsFactory.Create(...)

Immediately preceding this in the log:

Error: UiPath.Licensing.Library.Core.Exceptions.CustomCommunicationException: License Server error
Error: No license exist for this installation
Exception: UiPath.Licensing.Library.Extended.Exceptions.NotLicensedException: No license exist for this installation

What I’ve already verified on the Automation Cloud side (org: Sc Infinite):

  • Community Plan subscription is NOT expired (expiry Sep 3, 2027)
    • My user account IS a member of the “Automation Developers” group, which has a Pro (1) license allocation rule
    • status.uipath.com shows all systems operational, no incidents
What I’ve already tried locally, none of which fixed it:
  • Signing out and back into the UiPath account in Studio
    • Fully uninstalling and reinstalling Studio/Robot/Extensions
    • Restarting the machine
    • Deleting %APPDATA%\UiPath\LicenseInternal\license.cache to force a fresh fetch
Since the entitlement looks correct on the Cloud side but the desktop client still reports no license, this looks like a sync issue between the two. Any pointers on what else to check, or can someone from the team take a look at this tenant/account? Happy to provide more logs if useful.

Hi @t.patsara

Since the Community license is active and you have already tried reinstalling, signing in again, and clearing the license cache, this looks like a local licensing/cache or connectivity issue rather than a project issue.

I would suggest checking the UiPath Robot/Assistant logs for licensing errors and verifying that the machine can connect to the UiPath licensing endpoints without proxy/firewall restrictions.

If everything looks fine, I recommend raising this with UiPath Support using Support ID 3111-4659-7551-5105, as they can check the license allocation/sync from the backend.
