Studio cannot be launched due to a boon licensing error

When Studio is started, below error is thrown and Studio can not be used. "Exception of type 'UiPath.Licensing.Boon.LicenseUiPathException' was thrown"

Root Cause: This may possibly be caused by a change in the username of the Studio user.


Resolution: If this exception "UiPath.Licensing.Boon.LicenseUiPathException" comes up during UiPath Studio launch, proceed as follows:

  1. Close UiPath Studio
  2. Navigate to C:\UsersUserProfile\AppData\Roaming\UiPath\LicenseInternal
  3. Rename the folder LicenseInternal into something like LicenseInternal_old
  4. Re-launch UiPath Studio
