While trying to access platform https://cloud.uipath.com/ using the Microsoft account, I face an additional window that pops up which asks for admin approval. May I ask which specific permissions that should be granted for our admin to be aware of ?

You need to have ad authentication setup from your admin…sso should be enabled for UiPath cloud url
