Studio 2018.3.0 Thinks Extension is already installed

Scenario: UiPath Studio automatically updated to 2018.3.0 and the Chrome extension isn’t working.

Steps to reproduce: Allow Studio to Auto-upgrade from 2018.2.3 to 2018.3.0

Current Behavior:

  1. Re-installed version 2018.2.3, install the extension through Studio
  2. Removed the extension from Chrome
  3. Opened the project that causes Studio to upgrade to 2018.3.0
  4. Tried to re-install the extension through Studio 2018.3.0 – Studio says the UiPath extension was installed for the user.

Expected Behavior: I am able to install the Chrome extension through Studio 2018.3.0

Studio/Robot/Orchestrator Version: Studio 2018.3.0

Last stable behavior: Chrome extension was working
Last stable version: 2018.2.3
OS Version: Windows 7
Others if Relevant: (workflow, logs, .net version, service pack, etc):

In Chrome, go to settings, go to advanced, select extensions, and enable the uipath extension. And try now
:grinning:

Thanks Vivek, I should have been more clear. I uninstalled the extension before the upgrade, now I’m trying to reinstall through Studio 2018.3.0 and I am getting a message saying that the extension is already installed even though it was removed from Chrome.
