Standard Machines in Modern Folders

Just looking for an answer regarding Standard Machines. I understand UiPath recommends we use machine templates in Modern Folders but is it still an option to run a standard machine. The reason I ask is I have been told standard machine will be deprecated at some point. Does anyone know if this is the case and if so from what version will standard machine be deprecated.

I think streamlined and centralized approach to managing robot configurations, Machine Templates are recommended.
