Shortcut to add an annotation to an activity

Please advise me if there is already an easy way to do this, but as far as I know the only way to add annotations to an activity is to right-click/access the context menu which is a bit of a hassle.

Adding a hotkey shortcut (similar to enabling/disabling comments) to add an annotation would be very useful in simplifying and speeding up use of annotations which are great practice in any workflow to let others know what the process is about.
