Settings modifications to consider for interacting with a legacy application built for Internet Explorer to open on the Edge browser.
Resolution:
- Open Microsoft Edge and click the 3 dots in the top right.
- Select the 'Settings' tab.
- Select the 'Default Browser' tab in settings.
- Click the drop-down arrow and select 'Incompatible site only (Recommended)', then click the 'Add' option. Also, ensure that the 'Missile' option is set to 'Allow'.
- After hitting the tab button, you are going to 'add'.
- Next, go to the Control Panel and select 'Large Icons' from the top right corner.
- Next go to 'Internet Options'.
- In internet options go the 'security' tab and then the green check mark labeled' 'trusted sites'.
- Select the 'sites' option and then from there add to the list of trusted sites.
- After following these steps, the scanning option in Edge should be available for use.
