Hi Team,
I am working on a UiPath Test Automation project in UiPath Studio 2025.10.6 LTS.
We already have an existing execution template:
However, when I right-click any test case in either Project Explorer or Test Explorer, the Set Execution Template option is disabled.
This is disabled for both:
- existing test cases that already use
TestFramework.xaml
- new test cases that currently do not have an execution template assigned
The project is a Windows test automation project and uses UiPath.Testing.Activities 25.10.0.

Could you please check the following?
- Able to add a new Execution Template and assign it to an existing test case.
- Getting the option to select an Execution Template while creating a new test case.

Try checking these once:
- Ensure TestFramework.xaml is stored under the project’s Execution Templates folder.
- Open the template and verify it is configured as an Execution Template, not a regular workflow.
- Update UiPath.Testing.Activities and related testing packages to the latest compatible 2025.10 version.
- Close and reopen the project, then refresh Test Explorer.
- Check whether the test cases are part of a published/locked library or source-controlled file with read-only permissions.
- Create a brand new test case and see if the option becomes available. If not, the issue is likely project-level.
- Clear the Studio cache (
%localappdata%\UiPath\.cache) and restart Studio.

Please check Project Settings → Testing and make sure the Execution Template is enabled and configured.
Also, confirm that the test case is using the correct execution template format. After changing the settings, save and reopen the project.
If the option is still disabled, it may be a limitation/issue in Studio 2025.10.6 LTS.
