Selectors not working on Mac VM

Scenario: The client is using a Mac, running Windows 7 VM, and when I try to use the recorder tool for the notepad app, each individual button in the toolbar (file / edit / format / etc) is not selectable. Instead, the selector only highlights the entire toolbar. Is there a way to fix this?

Steps to reproduce: Run the recorder tool on the notepad application

Current Behavior: The entire toolbar is one selector

Expected Behavior: The toolbar buttons should be split out into multiple selectors

Studio/Robot/Orchestrator Version: Most recent version of Studio, downloaded 2 days ago

Last stable behavior: Never

Presuming UiPath is installed on the VM as you can’t run it on a Mac? What software are you using to run the VM?

Yes, UiPath is installed on the VM. It is VMWare Fusion Version 8.0.0

Do we have any ideas?

Possible causes:

  1. Do you have update KB2533623?
  2. UIElements - Quorum Land Onshore - #14 by priyatham
  3. When you run studio and notepad you should run them with the same elevation rights (both admin or both user)
