Secret Updating in the AAD Configuration Test Connection Starts But Never Ends

When updating the secret in the AAD authentication configuration, how can the test connection be bypassed if it runs indefinitely?

Issue description:

When attempting to update the new Application secret, the test connection starts but never ends.

Workaround Steps:

  • Open Developer Tools:

    • Access the developer tools in your browser (usually by pressing F12 or right-clicking on the page and selecting 'Inspect').

  • Provide New Application secret:

    • Enter the new Application secret in the appropriate field.

  • Initiate Test Connection:

    • Click on the 'Test Connection' button. Note that the test connection will start but will not complete.

  • Inspect Element

    • In the developer tools, navigate to the 'Elements' tab and click inspect icon.

  • Save button

    • Locate the save button

  • Modify Button Attributes:

  • Save changes

    • With the “Save” button now enabled, click it to save the new Application secret and complete the test connection.

Note: Attributes would be like below:

<button class="MuiButton-root MuiButton-contained MuiButton-containedPrimary MuiButton-sizeMedium MuiButton-containedSizeMedium MuiButtonBase-root Mui-disabled css-hfb03i" tabindex="-1" type="submit" disabled="" data-cy="azure-submit-button">Save</button>

That should solve the problem. If the issue still persists, submit a support ticket.
