SCCM silent command line install succeeds, but does not activate

Hello,

I am doing a silent Studio install via SCCM and the install completes successfully and according to the logs, also activates. When I run the Studio application it is not activated and asks for a code. If I re-run the activation as seen below, it then activates.

Any ideas?

Process ‘C:\Program Files\UiPath\Studio\UiPath.LicenseTool.exe activate -l ’ exited with code 0
MSI (s) (68!CC) [16:22:34:070]: Closing MSIHANDLE (1001) of type 790531 for thread 1531340
MSI (s) (68!CC) [16:22:34:070]: Creating MSIHANDLE (1002) of type 790531 for thread 1531340
Process output:
License registration state: ActiveLicense
License successfully activated!

Hi,

Which user SCCM ran installer as? It might be activate with different user against Studio user.

Regards,

Thank you for your response.

The install from SCCM is for system and not user.

Hi,

Can you try to run the above UiPath.LiecnseTool.exe activate -l command as Studio user via SCCM using runas command etc?

Regards,

Hi,

Yes, that command works if I run it after the install completes.

What does not work is the activation during installation, even though the logs says it is activated.

Hi,

I guess your license is “Named User”. So license is activated for user who runs activate command.
If you runs activate command as Administrator, the license is activated for Administrator.

If you login as Administartor and check license status using UiPath.LicenseTool.exe info , it might shows valid.
