Its Awesome
Each module does not capture the sections already completed, and you need to find them again if you take it up another day. It runs as well very easy examples, not allowing you to fully prepare for the exercises. Exercises unnecessary complexity that, for students of the foundation, adds confusion and prevents from understanding the material of the chapter, rather than practicing on it, in some cases.
Nice course
I did the developer course before the new lay-out and platform changes happened so I know what I’m heading into. Therefore I can make a little comparison with how it was and how it is.
I really like the new set-up, but like @epipsychidion7 mentions in her reply here, the modules not capturing the sections already completed is somewhat annoying. I don’t mind scrolling a bit to get back to where I left off but it would be nice if you could just skip ahead and continue where you left off, just like you could in the old set-up. Kinda like adding a bookmark among the pages of a book.
I’m okay with the exercises being a bit more challenging than the examples.
I’m looking forward to the rest of the course.
Hello,
The Introduction to Logging Course is excellent and helpful to understand the importance of logging in RPA. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to understand the difference between each logging levels and also the exercise section is awesome which helps to implement what we learnt in the course.
Thank you, I really appreciate the great work!!
So far, been very enjoyable.
Hi,
This course really guides me through those most useful foundations for RPA development with not only concepts but also examples and practices, which enables me to have a quick understanding of how RPA works for some basic logics. Thanks so much!
I’ve finished Introduction to the RPA Developer Role. Very interesting to basic understanding of RPA.
It’s a great place to learn the foundation skills of RPA from Non-Computers Background. It’s very interactive to learn the new skills and activities in the UiPath Academy which is very useful for the future aspects of both candidates career and also to the world.
Just completed the course Variables ,datatypes and control flow included in the RPA Developer Foundation. Its comprehensive and provides deep learning contents .The practice sessions are very good opportunity for creating our own processes and the solution helps if we r stuck .
great content!
You can add a option in the course to question the instructor if we have any doubts. It’s good more people are available in the Forum to answer but it will be better if an instructor is available to clarify specific doubts regarding the videos or practices.
You can add an option to adjust the video quality as few others suggested
Otherwise, it is so good. Thank you very much!
It is a great platform to learn. The videos are very descriptive and easy to understand.
Thank for this good work.
Seems some issue with the practice solution provided under UI interactions topics in learning.
Below is the task.
Extracting data from ACME
Create a process that automates extracting the data from ACME catalog page.
- Opens the IE browser on page
- Use Data scrape wizards to extract the title and the description from the components from all the pages
- Save the extracted data into a CSV file
- Close browser
The problem I found in the solution is, under the heading “Practice 3 Solution” a procedure is given but a different solution is given in code
" Download the workflow below to see the complete solution.
Practice 3 - Data Scraping & UI Elements (Workflow).zip
"
Like the metadata is edited but no explanation to that, coz wen normally doing data scraping no guidance on how to edit the metadata to get the desired output. If we follow the procedure alone the output is not same as given in code solution(where the metadata is fully edited).
Please provide details on metadata editing also so as to have a clear understanding. Else it is so confusing.
Hi, Just beginning the RPA Developer Foundation course and looking forward to the further modules. Great to have a community of like minded people.
Very useful course
I’ve just finished learning Blue Prism from their own Labs (PDF files and out of date videos) and a Udemy course, both were okay. In terms of this educational resource I must say that what has been done is YEARS ahead in terms of quality, presentation and scope. This really is a very well put together learning experience with perfect pace and an engaging presenter. Well done UIPath on a great product and the Academy, I really couldn’t ask for more at this price.
I’m working on the RPA Developer Foundation course and when I’ve clicked the links to learning resources or documentation, the resulting page does not load. I’ve tried several of them. I am using Chrome, but tried the same url with IE and still got an empty page.
How can I access these resources?
I am relatively new to RPA and I started the RPA Developer Foundation course.
I believe I don’t have the correct version downloaded to follow along the course. For example, for the first task/workflow “Get Time in Bucharest”, I don’t have the “Recording” button with the dropdown in my UiPath.
During install, the course direction was to install the Community Edition and then UiPath Studio. However, for me I only see “UiPath Studio Pro Community” and “UiPath StudioX Community” as options when I select the Community Edition on the previous install page.
Can someone please guide me how to get the right version to complete this course?
Uploading screenshots of what I have.
This is a well organized course. I am very exited in doing all the activities included in the course. Thank you UiPath for this Academic Alliance Initiative.
Happy Automation
