Robot Does Not Exist Error For Attended Robot User In Automation Cloud

Why does the Attended Robot User see "Robot does not exist" error when connecting to Automation Cloud from the Assistant?

Licensing an Attended User in Automation Cloud is different when User License Management(ULM) is enabled and disabled. ULM controls can be managed from Automation Cloud > Admin > Organization Settings.

Below are the steps to Provision an Attended License correctly to the users based on the ULM setting.

User License Management Enabled:

If it is required to license an entire Group

  • Automation Cloud > Admin > Licenses > License Allocation to Group > Create Allocation Rule( If one is not present) > Add the Administrator Group > Choose Automation Developer/ desired Attended robot.

If required to license a single user

  • Automation Cloud > Admin > Licenses > License Allocation to User > Allocation Licenses(If user is not present) > Add the User > Choose Automation Developer/desired attended robot.
  • Go to Orchestrator > Tenant > Manage Access > Edit User > Robot Setup > Enabled Attended Robot

User License Management Disabled:

Allocate the licenses to the Tenant first from

  • Automation Cloud > Admin > Tenant > Edit License Allocation > Add required/available Automation Developer Licenses to the Tenant

If required to license an entire Group

  1. Go to Orchestrator > Tenant > Manage Access > Edit Administrator Group > Robot Setup > Enabled Attended Robot > Select Automation Developer/desired Attended Robot
  1. Go to Orchestrator > Tenant > Manage Access > Edit User > Robot Setup > Enabled Attended Robot > Select Inherit License from User's group

If required to license a single user

  1. Go to Orchestrator > Tenant > Manage Access > Edit User > Robot Setup > Enabled Attended Robot > Select Automation Developer/ desired Attended Robot

  1. If all the above allocations are in place but the User is still no licensed then please validate the Orchestrator > Tenant > Settings > Robot Security tab
