Resetting Default And Host Tenant Passwords for 23.4

How to gain access to the Default Tenant when password is forgotten for 2023.4 Orchestrator?

Step by Step Guide

  1. Identify whether there is access to the SQL database with full permissions to read/write
    • Identify whether the Host Admin password is required, or the Default Tenant password
  2. Provide one of the below queries and verify against the Orchestrator SQL database
  3. Executing the queries will flag the password as requiring a reset, and the password needs to be changed on the next login.

From 2022.10.0 till 2023.4

Use below SQL to reset the password of admin user under Default tenant to 890iopqa

UPDATE [identity].[AspNetUsers]

IsFirstLogin = 1

where Name = 'Organization' and Surname = 'Administrator'
