Reply to Outlook Mail Message from a Shared Mailbox

I can successfully use “Send Outlook Mail Message” and “Get Outlook Mail Message” activities to Send/retrieve mail messages from this shared mailbox.

But I can’t reply to a mail from this shared mailbox by using “Reply to Outlook Mail Message”. Can anyone help me with this? I have also tried to play around with the fields in properties panel so many times, but can’t figure out any way.

I keep getting this error

**

Specified argument was out of the range of valid values. (Parameter’ accountName)

Before posting this here, I have tried to search for a solution. Thanks.

Can you observe if these changes helped you under the UiPath.Mail.Activities.2.1.10-preview?

Make sure that the robot session is not closed/locked and the Outlook is opened.

Hi @marian.platonov Thanks for your reply. But as I have stated before, I can retrieve mails using get outlook mail message activity. But I cannot reply because it’s not default outlook account. If I do like what you’ve shown, yes I can reply with “Default” account. My problem is not about default, it’s delegated or shared mailbox. I want to use shared mailbox to reply.

Let me explain what I have done:

Get outlook mail messages:

Account = Shared mailbox name

Mail folder = “Sent items”

Filter = filter to retrieve just one mail with condition

Top = 1

Messages = arr_messages

Up to this was fine. Can retrieve mails from shared mailbox.

Reply to outlook mail message:

To=To email address

Body=body text

MailMessage= arr_messages(0)

This will simply send reply from default mailbox which I don’t want.

Hey @DarDarSara,

My suggestion is to start using Microsoft 365 Activities. These fully support Shared Mailbox functionality.

I would discourage building new Automations with Outlook activities as Microsoft introduced the New Outlook which doesn’t work anymore with Outlook Activities. They will push in the following years more aggressively for companies to move to the new Outlook.

I leave you some references.
