Regex to accept date formats m/d/yyyy, m/dd/yyyy and, mm/dd/yyyy format

Hi!
So here’s the thing, currently my robot can read date with MM/DD/YYYY format. But there are some cases in which the files that I’m running is formatted is M/D/YYYY or M/DD/YYYY format, specially for months January to September.

I tried this regex

^(?:(?:(?:0?[13578]|1[02])(\/|-|\.)31)\1|(?:(?:0?[1,3-9]|1[0-2])(\/?|-|\.)(?:29|30)\2))(?:(?:1[6-9]|[2-9]\d)?\d{2})$|^(?:(?:0?2)(\/?|-|\.)(?:29)\3(?:(?:(?:1[6-9]|[2-9]\d)?(?:0[48]|[2468][048]|[13579][26])|(?:(?:16|[2468][048]|[3579][26])00))))$|^(?:(?:0?[1-9])|(?:1[0-2]))(\/?|-|\.)(?:0?[1-9]|1\d|2[0-8])\4(?:(?:1[6-9]|[2-9]\d)?\d{2})$

But it doesn’t work in mine.

Nevermind, The regex from the link helped me. I Just edited it from

(\d{2}(\/|-)\d{2}(\/|-)\d{2,4})

to

(\d{1,2}(\/|-)\d{1,2}(\/|-)\d{2,4})
