Questions about OpenBrowser

I’m having an issue where, when I specify a URL and open it in the Edge browser, it keeps loading indefinitely. I need to refresh the page to access it normally. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

  2. Retry Mechanism: This involves attempting to load the page again if it fails the first time, which can be done using “Retry Scope” .

I have installed the browser extension correctly. In fact, this issue only started appearing last week,everything was working fine before that.

Yes, I’m using it now. I just want to understand why this issue is occurring.

Apart from the page constantly loading, there don’t seem to be any other errors…

Yes, this is the same issue I encountered, but it seems there’s no other solution besides refreshing the browser.

@ChenSiXing then try with other browsers also. and check have you encounter the same issue or not … might be some glitch in Edge browser…

You’re right, it works fine when I open it in Chrome. I wonder if this issue will be fixed later on. I have many processes, which means I have to add a refresh action to each of them.

@ChenSiXing yes you can use refresh activity …so it will help your process to run . might be on that time the glitch has been resolved by edge .

I’ve encountered the same issue since last Friday. Several different Windows11 environments which are using Edge. Pages keep loading indefinitely, both in UiPath and in MS Power Automate Desktop.
I suspect an Edge bug in the latest version, all affected environments are using Edge 128.0.2739.42 .

Workarounds; Using Chrome works, refreshing works as well.

However in one case I the browser page is a MS Logon page, initiated by the Sharepoint activities. I can ony use the Use Application/Browser to attach to the page when loading is completed, which never happens. There’s no more WaitForReady interactive/complete/none setting for this activity anymore. So fingers crossed for a new/bettter version of Edge :face_with_peeking_eye:

It is loooong past time you should be working in modern and using the Open Application/Browser activity.

We’ve encountered the issue with all of our automations here as well, apparently if you enable ‘Startup Boost’ on the Edge Browser it will eliminate the problem. It apparently has something to do with ‘killing’ the Edge process. Hopefully MS will issue an ‘fix’ to the issue caused by the last update to Edge.
