Query -> To add new AI Center ML Packages

Requesting your insight on this matter → To add new AI Center ML Packages ( AI Center - ML packages offline installation ), I just added the Metadata ( Document Understanding - Offline bundles 2024.10.2 ) without adding the “zip files” and I got the “ML Packages” in my AI center GUI.

So as the Zip file upload is not required for the above ML Package set-up, Do I need to skip the Install required bundle ( AI Center - ML packages offline installation ) activity or do I need to download the “.tar.gz” file and perform the activity for each ML Package’s ( Document Understanding - Offline bundles 2024.10.2 ) Metadata I used?

Hello @Sathanand_MoPH,

You’re absolutely right that uploading just the Metadata file allows the ML Packages to be listed in the AI Center UI. However, this step only makes them visible in the interface it does not install the actual models for use.

To fully install and use any of the ML packages you still need to:

  1. Download the corresponding .tar.gz file for each ML package you intend to use.
  2. Go to AI Center > ML Packages, select the package, and click “Install required bundle”.
  3. Upload the downloaded .tar.gz file to complete the setup.

Ans to your question:

you don’t need the ZIP file, but you still need to upload the .tar.gz bundle for each ML package you want to use, even after adding the metadata.

Usually both the metadata and zip file are required to fully install and use ML packages offline in AI Center. Uploading the meta data alone will display the package but it might not be fully functional

Also you cannot skip the “Install the required bundle” activity
