Project is not opening in UiPath Studio - Could not scan more than 200000 files. The project failed to load correctly

My UiPath workflow from the local folder is not opening. it is pending like in the image for the long time. can anyone help me to fix this issue?

Welcome to the community @Roja_C

I can see the error says UiPath is trying to scan more than 200 000 files.

This was a bug that was fixed in Studio version 2023 and 2024:

What version are you currently using? I would recommend updating to the latest Studio version.

There was a bug in Studio 2024.10.x, but it was fixed in 2024.10.10.

A Could not scan more than 200000 files. The project failed to load correctly. error occurred in some projects containing multiple libraries added as dependencies.

Reference: Studio - 2024.10.10

I recommend upgrading the Studio to latest patch in its version and retry.

Try looking at the screenshot provided guys.

Visually thats clearly not a Studio 2024 version. It looks like a 25.10 LTS or the STS version.

Its quite possible this a legit error.
@Roja_C whats in the folder Eportal_for_tan_updated ?

Hi @Roja_C,

The error:

Could not scan more than 200000 files. The project failed to load correctly

usually happens when UiPath Studio is trying to scan an extremely large number of files/folders inside the project directory or dependencies.

A few things to check:

  • Verify your Studio version
    • This issue was fixed in newer patches:
      • 2023.4.13
      • 2024.10.10
    • If you are on an older patch, upgrade Studio and retry.
  • Check the project folder contents
    • Look inside:
Eportal_for_tan_updated
  • Ensure there are no:
    • huge backup folders
    • node_modules
    • package caches
    • copied repositories
    • excessive temp/log files
  • Remove unnecessary folders from the project directory
    • Keep only actual UiPath project files.
  • Clear dependencies cache
    • Delete:
.localproject.json libraries cache
  • Then reopen the project.
  • Try opening the project from a shorter/local path
    • Example:
C:\UiPath\ProjectName
  • Avoid deeply nested OneDrive/network locations.

If you are already on 25.10 or newer, then it may be a genuine large-file scan issue caused by project contents rather than the older Studio bug.

this is a version,UiPath Assistant 2026.0.193 else where i need to view my version, i need to do update in studio or assistant

Hi @Roja_C,

UiPath Assistant 2026.0.193 is the Assistant version, not necessarily the Studio version.

To check your UiPath Studio version:

  1. Open UiPath Studio
  2. Go to:
Help → About

or click the profile/help icon in the top-right corner.

There you will see something like:

UiPath Studio 2026.x.x

For updating:

  • If both Studio and Assistant are installed together through Enterprise/Community installer, updating from UiPath Assistant usually updates both.
  • But first confirm the actual Studio version.

You should compare the Studio version against:

2023.4.132024.10.10or later

because the “200000 files scan” issue was fixed in those releases and newer ones.

I would ignore them, its pretty clear they are using an AI to write their responses.

UiPath assistant and Studio version are the same thing, thats an AI hallucination to claim they are not and the are saying some nonsense things with that 2023.13.132024 version.

As I already explained, you were clearly one a version from late 2025 or the community version based on your screenshot, so all these comments about fixes for a 2023 or 2024 are a waste of time and clutter.

Whats in that folder? People are trying to find a zebra and assume this is an old bug.
Maybe its just a horse and you have far far too many files. The project structure you show is weird.
