Process Not Executed in UiPath Assistant Having Multiple Sessions With Same Name In Windows

How to handle when job starts from Orchestrator successfully but there is no process executed in UiPath Assistant?

Issue Description: Job started from Orchestrator successfully but there is no process executed in UiPath Assistant, due to multiple sessions with the same name in Windows.

It is observed that the job can be started from Orchestrator and finished without any issue, but there is no process executed in the UiPath Assistant. The possible root cause is that there are multiple user sessions in Windows with the same name.

Troubleshooting Procedure:

  1. Open Task Manager
  2. Navigate to Users tab
  3. Check if there are multiple users with the same name, if yes, logout the other ones
  4. Start a job from Orchestrator again and confirm the same.

Resolution:

  1. Open Edit Group Policy
  2. Navigate to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Remote Desktop Services -> Remote Desktop Session Host -> Connections
  3. Update the state of "Restrict Remote Desktop Services users to a single Remote Desktop Services session" to Enabled.
