POP or IMAP Setting needed...please help me or attached screenshot issue

Hi All,

I am unable to resolve email activity connection issue. wither pop or imap…
can any one help how to resolve attached screenshot error.I tried to off firewall settings but still no success.I tried all possible this,I am using my own personal laptop to learning purpose.
please help me.

I have used IMAP after following the above steps and its working. My settings:

No worried about password …its dummy… and above setting s i have changed many times…firwall also closed …i have used different ports…mails… like yahoo… gmail…etc…i have searched many things over the internet but not find related to this…and those who got was related to code and was very old…

Done for imap…but not for pop

when you mean done you have tried and it does not work?

If you follow the steps i shared, you will be creating a key which is used by gmail to authenticate.
It does not work with your password.
As gmail will require app based authentication and then it will use this key that you have generated.

Do you have any idea for yahoo mails. if we are using it without password …i mean login using user id and account key by mobile.?

I dont have a yahoo account :slight_smile:
But i think yahoo also uses the app based auth when you want to read email via a app.
The logic to enable app auth is to avoid the MFA which is nothng but they otp that you get in mobile.
Same as gmail.

The IMAP settings is same for business email also for example claims@life.com.
If yes which username and password i need to give.
Appreciate your response.
