Why after trying to install some packages in UiPath Studio, is making all the dependencies unresolved?
Issue Description
Challenges arise when trying to install a new package in UiPath Studio that doesn't exist yet in the %userprofile%/.nuget/packages folder. The download appears successful, yet the entire dependency list becomes unresolved.
This issue extends to both regular Windows processes and templates in the studio, despite package availability in the Orchestrator.
Error: Encountered upon attempting package download from the Orchestrator: "Packages not found #1677"
Root Cause
This issue derives from an ineffective download and installation for packages for the robot from the available and active feeds. Despite the availability of the official feed for download, the response comes from at least one of the Orchestrator feed(s). The downloaded content is corrupted, leading to unresolved dependencies in Studio project.
Resolution
Option 1 (if allowed)
The initial step requires the soft or hard elimination of the impacted package mentioned, namely 'Packages not found #1677', from the Orchestrator database tables [dbo].[PackageMetadata] and [dbo].[PackageDefinitions].
Subsequently, proceed with the action of uploading the package again to the Orchestrator.
Here is a demonstration on how to perform a soft-delete for a package (e.g. UiPath.FormActivityLibrary with versions 1.9.6,2.0.2',1.1.7) in On-Premise/Automation Suite Orchestrator database:
UPDATE [REPLACE_WITH_UIPATH_DATABASE_NAME].[dbo].[PackageMetadata] SET [IsDeleted] = '1' WHERE [Identifier] = 'UiPath.FormActivityLibrary' AND [Version] IN ('1.9.6','2.0.2','1.1.7')
UPDATE [REPLACE_WITH_UiPath_DATABASE_NAME].[dbo].[PackageDefinitions]
SET [IsDeleted] = '1'
WHERE [Identifier] = 'UiPath.FormActivityLibrary' AND [Version] IN ('1.9.6','2.0.2','1.1.7')
Option 2
- Ensure that the official feed (pkgs.dev.azure.com) is whitelisted and that internet access is available on the machine.
- Navigate to Tenant -> Settings -> Deployment -> Libraries
- Update the Orchestrator -> Tenant -> Settings -> Deployment -> Libraries setting to "Only tenant feed", provided all previously uploaded packages reside in the host feed. The disabling of the Host feed prevents downloading packages from the Host feed.
- Retry downloading the packages in the UiPath Studio and monitor the behavior.
If the issue persists, raise a support ticket with UiPath. Provide accompanying evidence, such as screenshots of noticed errors, Diagnostic tool logs and the project.json file.
