Packages Lost

Scenario: No process in UiPath robot tray. On further checking all the packages were removed but could find workflow inside lib\net45 under user folder

Steps to reproduce:

Could you include a bit more context? Were there any changes on your machine?

Yes,
In the machine no changes were made. But Next day the UiPath version was updated to 18.2.

Do you mean that it was updated to the 2018.4.2? If you are using the community edition, then you should have been indeed automatically updated to that version when it was released on 10 January.

Could you see this post and confirm/deny that this is a similar issue? If so, please provide the extra information that is suggested there (even log, your particular situation, anything else that can help debug this issue):

@acaciomelo In addition to what @codemonkee said, please also check the Windows event viewer > Windows Logs > Application and see if there are any UiPath errors there. It seems that your connection to Orchestrator gets disconnected for some reason. Are you in some sort of environment that deletes the user’s folder after you log out ? Like a non-persistent VDI ?

It is not similar to the shared issue. In my case Robot was not connected to Orchestrator.

Yes, This is a CE version and it was updated to 2018.4.2 and just before the update all the packages in C:\ProgramData\UiPath\Packages were automatically erased which reflected in the robot tray.

Should we expect this issue every time the CE version is updated?
