Overcoming the ClickOnce error when opening a desktop app??

Description

I am trying to open an Oracle Database. When I use the Click tool or the Start Process tool, I get an error stating that the dbname and launch parameters must be specified on launch. After doing some research, this error is related to the ClickOnce application. I even tried simulating the click and I still receive the error.

Hi @jcoleman

Try to launch ClickOnce applications using .appref-ms shortcut, not by calling the executable (.exe)

  • Go to Installation Location
  • Look for something like ‘Oracle Database.appref-ms’
  • Then use Start process give the complete location ,leaving argument empty.
