Outlook Web

Hi all,
is the Outlook resource only intended for use of the Outlook Desktop app, or will it work with Outlook web version in Browser as well?
Using the Browser resource doesn’t seem appropriate, since all the Outlook specific actions are missing then.

Outlook activities works with desktop outlook only.
For outlook web, use Exchange Mail Activities.

Hi @lars-oliver.kamp
When talking about StudioX it is specifically designed to work with the dektop products of Microsoft.

Automating Outlook in the browser is possible but you would need to rely on UI-automation as the Exchange Activities are not availalbe in StudioX at the moment.

Hello @FrankSchikora,

I changed to Studio trying out the ‘Send Exchange Mail Message’. I provided a valid user and password, and used “https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx” as ServerDisplayName in Connection.

But I get an error:
The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

Do I need to find out internally what causes this problem or is it due to a wrong / missing configuration?

Regards,
Lars

Hi @lars-oliver.kamp - can you share a screenshot of how you setup the activity if you can share the information? You can find some information which discusses a problem like this here → Accessing Exchange E-mails on Office 365 - #5 by ovi

If you have setup Single sign on with your office365 account I don’t believe that is possible to use this activity.
