How to resolve the issue Reference required to assembly 'System.Security.Cryptography, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' containing the type 'X509Certificate'.

Issue Description

While attempting to run the Orchestrator Manager Tool in UiPath Studio, the execution fails with an error indicating that a reference to the assembly 'System.Security.Cryptography, Version=8.0.0.0' containing the type 'X509Certificate' is required.

Resolution

  1. Open the Main.xaml file of your Orchestrator Manager project.
  2. Locate the Assembly Reference section in the project file.
  3. Add the following lines and save the main.xaml file: 
    <AssemblyReference>System.Security.Cryptography</AssemblyReference>

    <AssemblyReference>System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates</AssemblyReference>

  4. Restart UiPath Studio.
  5. Validate that the Orchestrator Manager Tool now runs without the missing assembly reference error.
