Orchestrator and Robot in separate untrusted domains

We are planning our global RPA strategy and trying to determine how many instances of Orchestrator will be required and where they will reside. My questions are:

  • Can a robot be registered to an Orchestrator instance if it is in a separate domain, and there is no trust relationship between the domains?

  • Is Windows Authentication in Orchestrator used for Orchestrator users only (as opposed to robots)?

  • Yes, the Robot can be registered and will run.
  • No, the Windows Authentication is only for Orchestrator users.
