Orchestrator 2018.2 Practice 2

Hello, I’m having some issues understanding the first couple indications in the walkthrough.

• Go to Robots and click Add. The Robot Description page is displayed.
• Copy the Key .
• Additionally, to take advantage of the High Density Robots feature, select the Create another check box.

I’m not finding this option. And no KEY…

Once you will create the Robot, the key will be found in the Machine option below Robot.
Click on that , then on View icon there you can find your key

Regarding this practice.

1. Go to “Robot” tab
2. click + sign
3. create a standard (?) Robot
4. what is the username/domain about?
5. the Machine field would be the Machine Name (found in the UiPath Robot, in the settings…?

My confusion is that the instructions seem upside down, because to create the robot first I need the Machine info to use as input…

I got the following error:
Publish of workflow project to Orchestrator failed. A robot with user name ‘botname’ is not defined in Orchestrator.

So, my setup failed (and I do have a robot with the right name)…

Instructions are fine, just not detailed

UIRobot.exe you will find at path
%Userprofile%\AppData\Local\UiPath (enter this in your explorer)
goto folder name app-18.. and search for UiRobot.exe

Once you do that in your systems tray you will find it running

Open that and there you will have a settings

There you must paste the machine key

I failed in the username and password. The machine was not connected.

did you provide the user name and pwd you use to login to your machine?
include domain also if you are having domain\username
