After previously struggling with how we could share multiple connections across different unattended machines, I have a new conundrum.
After having used the Integration Service for months, I’m running into issues the last week with the mappable locations in the job, concerning the OneDrive locations. Let’s make this more visual:
Let’s say I have this simple activity in Studio to retrieve the list of a bunch of folders/files. The input are some variables that resolve to an URL.
I publish this project to the Orchestrator tenant, lets check the Connections tab there:
Created this fresh, a working OneDrive connector.
Now, if I want to run the Process, I have to edit the ‘Package Requirements’ and select a connection, since ‘Configurable by users’ is a no-go for unattended processes (see my linked forum thread).
After selecting the connection, I HAVE to choose the location where to search for files and folders. You do this by navigating through a folder structure, much like the default 'browse ’ setting for the o356 OneDrive activity in Studio. There’s no way to hardcode an URL, use a variable or ask it to respect whatever was filled in Studio. I can’t update/save the tab without assigning something:
Now it USED to be (7 days ago or so) that I would select the first option (OneDrive)
and it would ignore that, and just use the variable that was specified in the Studio Project.
However, now if I choose OneDrive, it will just randomly find files and folders in my OneDrive folder, instead of respecting the values (variables) that I entered in Studio (see first screenshot).
Why? Is this a bug, intended behavior or am I overlooking some setting in the Orchestrator?
