For actionable notifications to work as expected, you need to enable a Microsoft Outlook 365 connection in the Integration Service within the tenant your Studio automation is linked to.
Please follow below steps to create a connection:
Go to Orchestrator → Integration Service (for the same tenant your Studio project is linked to)
Search for Microsoft Outlook 365 connector
Click Connect and authenticate with an account that has mailbox/send permissions
Go back to Studio → reopen/refresh the Create App Task activity, the Notification channel field should now appear with Outlook as an option.
Also, confirm your Studio project is actually linked to the correct Orchestrator tenant/folder where you’re creating this connection, a mismatch there is the second most common reason this field silently doesn’t show up even after connecting Outlook.
Your setup looks fine, the Outlook connection isn’t what’s blocking it.
That dropdown gets filled from the channels enabled in your org’s Notification settings, not from Integration Service. If nothing is enabled there, the field just hides instead of showing an empty list.
Needs an Org Admin:
Preferences → Notification settings → switch My Notification to Manage Notification → Alerting Group Configuration → Default → Edit → Actions tab → enable the channel for Action Assigned → Save.
If you can’t even see Manage Notification, you don’t have the role and someone else has to do it.
After that, close and reopen the project in Studio. It caches that list at design time and won’t refresh while the project is open.
Also worth checking: in Persistence 1.10.x the fields moved around, so look under Properties → Show additional options → Actionable Notification. The Academy screenshot is the older layout.
Thanks for the screenshot, that actually tells us something. Look at your columns: you only have Automation Cloud and Email. There’s no Outlook column at all. So the channel isn’t just unchecked, it isn’t available in your org yet.
That grid only lets you tick channels that are already enabled one level up, on the Notification settings page itself (same place Slack has its own config tab). If you don’t see an Outlook option there either, the channel hasn’t been provisioned for your tenant.
Two things I’d confirm before going further:
The tenant selector at the top of that settings page. These settings are per tenant, so make sure you’re looking at the same tenant your Studio project is connected to.
Your plan. Actionable notifications are Automation Cloud only and I’ve mostly seen the channel available on Enterprise, so on Community/trial it may simply not be exposed.
If both check out and there’s still no Outlook option, this is beyond what we can fix from Studio. Raise a ticket with UiPath Support and attach this same screenshot showing the missing column, they can tell you whether it’s a licensing or feature rollout thing on your tenant.
