Not able to install UiPath Studio for the first time

Antivirus and FireWall protection is made off.
Still not able to install UiPath Studio for the first time.
Required changes in registry is made as below:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer]
“DisableMSI”=REG_DWORD:00000000

Almost 90% of installation completes and then gets rolled back.

Below is the error log:

Error 1920. Service ‘UiPath RobotJS Service’ (UiPath RobotJS Service) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

I have checked all related requirements and those are very well in place. Still problem persists.

Hi @Mahesh_Punde,

  1. if the folder exists delete (%programdata%\UiPath)
  2. if the folder exists delete (%localappdata%\UiPath)
  3. Restart your machine
  4. Retry the installation (run as administrator)

Really sorry to bother you, I have followed all steps mentioned above but the problem persists.
Error log is:
Error 1920. Service ‘UiPath RobotJS Service’ (UiPath RobotJS Service) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
MSI (s) (80:E4) [17:23:07:752]: Product: UiPath Studio – Error 1920. Service ‘UiPath RobotJS Service’ (UiPath RobotJS Service) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
Action ended 17:23:07: InstallFinalize. Return value 3.

Now I have:

  1. Made Anti-virus and FireWall block.
  2. Made necessary changes in the registery.
  3. Checked and done all necessary changes as a part of software compatibility (minimum requirements like Dot Net Framework, IIS etc.).

***I have got really frustrated now. Can anyone help me here?
I am doing this since last week but no SUCCESS. Why it is so though task?

Everything is in place.

Did you copy the install file to a local folder?

Are you right-clicking and choosing Run As Administrator? Don’t do that. Choose Run As Different User, then enter admin credentials.

I don’t know why, but this is what worked for us.

I hope you are installing in the office laptop.

Is there any security apps like zscalar restricting the installation?? Is there any issues faced earlier while installing any other apps?

@Mahesh_Punde Make sure you reboot your server and install it. Also, while installing it might give an similar option like below

  • Do you want to install for all the users on this server
  • Do you want to install only for single user

Make sure you choose want to install only for single user

Why would you choose that for a server? That’s wrong. It’s usually wrong for personal machines, too. Most common is to install for all users.

Hi, I am installing it on my own laptop. There is no Zscalar on my machine. I have tried all things which are suggested here but nothing is working.

Do you have full administrator privileges on your laptop?

Check with your security team, Windows admin, etc.

I have tried everything suggested on this forum but there is some issue with the laptop settings which couldn’t be identified yet. It will be a great help if anyone can help me in this regard.

Which version of Studio was the one you were trying to install? Was it an enterprise or basic community installation?

Is the issue still there?
