I am facing an issue while trying to sign in to UiPath. When I open the Sign-in window and enter the default Service URL ([https://cloud.uipath.com](https://cloud.uipath.com)), I am unable to proceed.
Upon clicking the “Sign in” button, I immediately receive the following error message at the bottom of the screen: “No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.”
My internet connection is working perfectly otherwise. Could anyone please guide me on how to resolve this? Could this be related to firewall/proxy settings or is it a server-side issue?
“I tried opening UiPath Assistant → Preferences → Connection, and entered [https://cloud.uipath.com](https://cloud.uipath.com) as the Orchestrator URL. However, when I click ‘Sign in’, I am still getting the exact same error pop-up: ‘No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it’. Is it safe to assume this is entirely a Firewall/Proxy issue from my company’s network blocking the connection?”
If this is the first time you are trying to get it working and facing this issue and If you are on a company laptop or VPN, your network may block UiPath endpoints.
Here you can refer the firewall configuration you can share with your network admin.
Actually, I am not connected to a company network or VPN right now. I am trying to connect using my personal mobile hotspot, but I am still facing the exact same error.
Since I am on a mobile network, could this connection be blocked by my laptop’s local Windows Defender Firewall or Antivirus software? Could you please guide me on how to whitelist UiPath endpoints in my local Windows Firewall?
hi @kauveryrpabot
This error usually indicates that the UiPath sign-in window is unable to establish a connection, often due to a proxy, firewall, VPN, or local network configuration.
You can try these steps:
Check whether https://cloud.uipath.com opens normally in your browser.
If you are connected to a VPN, disconnect temporarily and try again.
Check your organization’s proxy/firewall settings and ensure UiPath traffic is allowed.
Restart UiPath Studio and try signing in again.
Try the same sign-in from another network, such as a mobile hotspot. If it works there, the issue is likely related to the corporate network/proxy.
Make sure you are using a supported/current version of UiPath Studio.
If the issue persists, sharing the UiPath Studio version and proxy/network configuration (without sensitive details) would help identify the cause.
