Update
Following the publication of our Chrome extension, we were notified by customers that on certain configurations of our 18.4 version the processes were not executed optimally. Our team has taken immediate action to remove the new Chrome extension and republish the previous version.
As of now, the correct extension is available in the Chrome extension manager, and will auto-update on your Chrome restart. At the first start/restart only, the Chrome browser will auto-update the UiPath Chrome extension. Depending on network performance, this operation done might take Chrome browser a longer startup time.
Possible impact:
The Chrome browser might require longer startup time in order to download and install the UiPath extension (first time only). The operation triggers the browser tabs refresh as well. Thus, the first run of the automation processes using OpenBrowser UIAutomation activity may fail.
Mitigation options for customers:
- Option 1: Manually restart the Chrome browser to allow UiPath extension auto-update, before running automation processes.
- Option 2: Monitor the automation processes and restart the ones that might have failed.
We apologize for the inconveniences caused and assure you that our engineering teams are doing their best to monitor and mitigate any potential issues. Thank you for your understanding.
