New IP Range published, what actions are expected on IT side?

Hello,

I received the info regarding the publishing of new IP ranges by region
What is to be requested on IP side?

I believe they need to “whitelist” it?

they asked me “what servers of ours should communciate with these IPs”

Yes, they need to whitelist the new IP ranges on the firewall/network side.

For “what servers of ours should communicate with these IPs,” you can provide the list of your UiPath/Orchestrator servers or machines that need to connect to these IPs. Then the network team can allow communication between those servers and the new IP ranges.

The servers that need access are the ones that communicate directly with UiPath services. Typically, this includes:

  • UiPath Robot/Runner machines (unattended and attended)
  • UiPath Orchestrator server (if self-hosted)
  • Automation Suite nodes (if applicable)
  • Any application servers, VM hosts, or VDIs running UiPath processes

Please whitelist the new UiPath IP ranges on the firewall/proxy for outbound communication from these servers.

okey, so I guess only the names of our VM servers + the “local pc”

Yes. Just provide the VM/server names and the local PC that need to communicate with the new IP ranges. If needed, the network team can confirm whether they also require the source IPs.

First did your IT restrict any ip traffic? you can check by opening cli and doing a ping

if no blocks then you need not do anything

else give your unattended servers/machines and your own development servers/machines so that they can dd the new ips to witelist
