.NET 10 support for UiPath Studio projects?

When will LTS version of this year released by UiPath and since .Net framework 8.0 support is ending in Nov 2026 this year ,will the new release support .Net 10?

.NET 10 will be integrated into Studio in the next few months.

There are some aspects worth noting:

  • Processes compiled targeting .NET 8 will continue to work with newer robots. This is backwards compatibility and is already documented. New robots can run older processes without recompilation.
  • Even if .NET 8 becomes out of support, that doesn’t automatically mean it is vulnerable and must be replaced. If a CVE appears and is exploitable, customers will need to upgrade their robots to a version running .NET 10.
  • The only situation where they would need to recompile their processes is if there is a CVE that is literally caused by their compiler, but these are extremely rare.

UiPath typically releases its annual LTS version around October. According to UiPath’s release strategy, on-premises products and desktop products receive one annual LTS release, usually in October.

UiPath generally releases a new LTS version annually, typically around October. As of now, UiPath has not officially announced .NET 10 support in the next LTS release.
