Need help on setting OC, User, Role and robot movement

Hello All,

I am a RPA workflow developer so not familiar with the Ochestrator setting and role etc.
Recently, I was assigned to handle the unattended robot movement from machine-A(VM) to machine-B(VM). Machine-A is currently in production, thus want to make sure the process won’t be affected when transferring.

Background info as below

  • UiPath version 2021.10 (on premise stand alone)

License as below

  • unattended robot *2
  • automation developer *1

I am trying to install UiPath on the machine-B(VM) but I could not successfully do it.
What I did so far:

  1. create a machine on ochestrator and set the machine name exactly same as the machine B
  2. create a User in orchestrator (necessary or not?) and assign “robot” roles to it but did not “setup robot”

and I still not able to install the UiPath with the user ID.

Can anyone kindly to share the info I needed to setup and how to manage OC? That would be a big help for me.

Thanks this provides good instruction.
But I cannot install UiPath studio on the VM, and this makes me cannot set up through UiPath assistant to connect OC.
