Multiple hot key press

why is there not a option like counter ? say example if i need to press a tab for 27 times
i need to go for a whiule loop , but instead if the send hot key has a counter option which i can set to 27 , then there is no need to create a work flow exclusively tab key which gets counter as a argument , which is what am doing now !

any idea to hold shift key until we finish certain activities???
