How to enable editing in word when file opens in protected mode?

Hi
yah of course we can work on word document which is in protected mode
–use a start process activity and pass the file path of the word as input to file property
–then use a type into activity with the password to be written to the word document once it gets open, as value
(the reason is when we open the word document which is protected we need to mentiont the password)
kindly enable the simulate type and clickbeforetype and empty field property in the property panel of type into activity

Open Word Protected with word application scope

Hi, Using type into or set text will not work under word application scope, so if you could see for excel application scope the password provided field doesn’t open as we have a property for password and it happens in background. So you can try this StartProcess Typeinto WordApplicationScope. I have used the same path in start process and wordapplicationscope and was successfully able to read the entire word document and perform replace functions. [image]
