Move the transactional data from Old process name to new process name in insights

Hi Michelle, I have another question on insights. If we change a process name after a few months, is there a way to move the transactional data from Old process name to new process name in insights?

Example: A Process is executing since Jul’20 with name as Process_A. Since we don’t have an option to rename it to Process_B directly in UiPath, we are using the same code, updating Process name as Process_B in project.json file and publishing it in UiPath. If we need to see the transactions for this process since Jul’20, due to the process renaming, we would not be able to see the transactions when the process was named as Process_A. How do we make sure that transactions pertaining to process_A are tagged to process_B so that process_B gives me overall view of transactions in Insights.

hey Soumya, unfortunately that would be changing historical data, which we don’t do on Insights. We are working on some solutions to try to link the current friendly name with the process name, but we do not support moving transaction history from one process to another as that risks the data integrity.
